Day 4 of our appraisal series is here! This time, we're heading inside to look at the details appraisers will be documenting throughout the home.

Kitchen and bathroom updates, ceiling heights, and accessory dwelling units (ADUs) are all getting a closer look. For ADUs, appraisers will gather separate measurements and additional details, including whether the space could be rented out.

If you're working with a property that has recent updates or a separate living space, knowing what information may be needed can help you prepare ahead of time.

For Day 3 of our appraisal series, we're highlighting some of the exterior details that may come up during the new appraisal process!

Appraisers will now consider factors such as their estimated age of the roof, the height of the home's entrance, converted living spaces, and heating systems. For manufactured homes, they'll also need identification details and a photo of the certification label. If you are a seller or a seller's agent, we recommend that you prepare for the appraiser to request information related to these!
