Today at the Pacific Business News 2nd Annual Kokua Kahiau Awards, we celebrated the true spirit of service, community development, and giving back across Hawaii.

Woo-hoo! What an unforgettable SHRM Hawaii Conference & Expo (SHCX26) last Friday. 🌺

We left feeling so inspired by all the amazing HR professionals who drive workplace excellence across Hawaii every single day. There wasn't a dry eye on our team as we watched our very own SVP, Chief Human Resources & Brand Officer, Stevette, humbly accept her Lifetime Achievement Award to a standing ovation! 💛

To honor Stevette’s passion for health and community, we turned our booth into a fresh fruit stand and hydration station, made possible by our wonderful employer groups, Manson Products Co. and Hawaiian Coolwater.

We were deeply honored to celebrate our valued employer group, Diamond Bakery Co., Ltd.'s 105th Anniversary alongside their dedicated employees, partners, and community!

The festivities began with wonderful remarks from Diamond Bakery President Butch Galdeira, followed by Governor Josh Green's official proclamation designating October 12 as "Diamond Bakery Day."

We had the unique opportunity to tour the factory and witness firsthand the decades-old machinery that still produces their famous soda crackers today. Seeing the blend of craftsmanship, tradition, and pride was deeply moving.

We were also thrilled to learn about exciting plans to expand the facility later this year with new technology to increase production capacity—ensuring they can continue meeting growing demand while preserving the quality generations of Hawaii residents cherish.

We are thrilled to celebrate our Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources & Brand Officer, Stevette Santiago, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, on receiving the HR Lifetime Achievement Award from SHRM Hawai‘i!

For over 25 years, Stevette has been a champion for human resources in Hawai‘i. From serving as chapter president to co-chairing the Workforce Development Committee and spearheading the creation of an HR pathway in Hawai‘i high schools, her vision has shaped the future of our local workforce for generations to come.

This month, we're thinking of everyone in our Hawaii ohana touched by breast cancer.
