As we observe Memorial Day, our armed forces continue to serve around the world to defend and preserve freedom.

On this solemn occasion, please join me in taking a moment to pay tribute to those who make it possible for us to live as we choose.

Many courageous men and women have paid for our freedom with their lives, and many more put themselves in harm’s way every day to ensure that we all continue to enjoy the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness asserted by the Declaration of Independence.

This is a common mistake👇

Many of our clients are too hard on themselves and often get frustrated and impatient when the progress is slow, and their investment portfolios aren't growing like they hoped for.

Especially in the digital age where they compare their net worth & lifestyles to the highlight reels of others on social media.

Try this,
Instead of focusing on immediate results, focus on activity and small changes you can control:
- Gradually increase your monthly investments.
- Find a way to cut your expenses.
- Look for ways to supplement your income.
- Pay off your debt quicker.
- Find a coach/advisor to keep you accountable.

These small seemingly insignificant changes will soon yield incredible results.

This morning I was asked why I became a financial advisor.

The answer is fairly simple: I love helping others accomplish their goals.

I’ve been able to accomplish a lot at a young age. In business, relationships, and many other areas of my life, but what I’m truly passionate about is helping others succeed.

Being a financial advisor enables me to help others create a financial plan and investment strategy so they can accomplish their goals with as little stress as possible.

Wealth with Simplicity and Risk Aware Investing is our proven and powerful proprietary processes that help us make it happen for our clients.

As leaders, we have to remember that our people are the heart and soul of our business.

Leading is a privilege, and true leadership is all about people and inspiring people to believe that the impossible is possible.

When leaders can inspire a group of people to become the very best version of themselves and perform beyond their normal limitations, great things will happen.

It has nothing to do with having power over someone; it's about using your influence to inspire and empower people to make a difference in the lives of the people they are entrusted to serve.

I’m curious, what does leadership mean to you? Let me know in the comments below! 👇

Ah yes, tax season has officially come to a close… But even though you and everyone else in the country will be happy to have it behind you, the fact of the matter is that there’s no better time to assess your future taxes than right after you’ve settled the taxes of your past.

One of the best ways to do this is to analyze whether you—or your tax preparer—might have made any of the following common mistakes:

➡️Did you claim interest from U.S. government bonds on your federal tax return, but fail to exclude that interest from your state return?

➡️Did you fail to check whether you were eligible to make contributions to an IRA account to reduce taxable income?

➡️Did you fail to take advantage of the maximum exclusion of retirement income on your state return?

Many people forget the distinction between tax preparation and tax planning. The months leading up to April are dominated by tax preparation—that is, the proper filing of the taxes you’ve already paid.

The months immediately after you file should be spent on tax planning—in other words, taking the steps to ensure your future taxes are as low as legally possible.

If you have any questions about tax planning, please DM me! I’d be happy to put you in touch with an excellent tax professional. 😇

Three retirees, each with hearing loss, were taking a walk one fine morning.🚶🚶‍♀️🚶

One remarked to the other, “Windy, ain’t it?”

“No,” the second man replied, “It’s Thursday.”

And the third man chimed in, “So am I. Let’s have a Coke!”

A friend of mine recently wanted to know why retirement planning is important.

Perhaps you've pondered the same question. 🤔

My friend is well educated and financially successful.

Yet he had not taken the time to plan out one of the most expensive decisions in his life, enjoying retirement for decades without outliving his money.

Not only had he not taken the time to plan, but he also wasn’t aware of the key issues to consider before retirement in the first place.

He just didn't know what he didn't know.

As he quickly found out, there are a lot of reasons why retirement planning is important for just about everyone - regardless of education or wealth.

When it comes to retirement planning, there are thousands of factors that can impact your ability to maintain financial security.

I’ve compiled 8 of the top questions I get when talking about retirement with clients.

If you have any of the same questions, feel free to shoot me a message!📩

Today is National Nurse's Day! 💉

COVID-19 has impacted the United States for over a year now, and physicians, nurses, and hospital staff have been working tirelessly with determination to take care of our communities and loved ones.

As a Financial Advisor, I am lucky enough to work with clients in many different professions, but today I wanted to specifically thank all of the medical professionals here in Honolulu and all over the globe for their dedication and diligent work.

A special shout out to Queens Medical Center's nurses where I worked to help them save for retirement in their 403b/401k plan 20 years ago.

Happy National Nurse's Day, please take some time today to thank the medical professionals in your life!

The director of the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) says the 2021s program will be designed to bring children back to a social atmosphere. (Things may finally be getting back to normal )
