Last year, I helped 7 first-time homebuyers get $25,000 each in grant down payment assistance—and two of them were able to stack an extra $10,000 from MSHDA DPA, receiving a total of $35,000 toward their new homes. That’s $175,000+ in support that made homeownership possible for those individuals. 🏡

Opportunities like this don’t stick around for long. A popular annual grant program is expected to reopen in about a month from now, and based on past years, it usually moves fast.
Basic qualifications include:
• Being a first-time homebuyer
• Households with a projected income at or below 80% of the AMI as determined by HUD
• Minimum contribution of $500 to the purchase transactions

Two powerful messages from Star Bobatoon and Todd Cetnar during yesterday’s Team Learning Day.

It was a great reminder that positivity and presence are vital. The way we speak to ourselves shapes the way we live. When we focus on the current moment instead of worrying about what’s next, we show up better for our families, our teams, our members, and ourselves.
