🚨 NEW CYBER SCAM BUSINESS OWNERS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT...and yes, small businesses are just as much at risk as large ones!

It starts with what appears to be a legitimate customer or business inquiry. The person requests a Zoom meeting, but when it’s time to connect, the meeting link supposedly wont work. They then direct you to download a file or program to “fix” the issue and that download can potentially give them access to your computer, your business data, client information, emails and more.

A few things to remember:

✅ Be cautious of unexpected Zoom or meeting requests.
✅ Never download software from a link someone sends you.
✅ Verify suspicious requests with a phone call before clicking.
✅ Even links from people you know can be dangerous if their account has been compromised. If you aren't expecting something from them, make the phone call first!
✅ Make sure your employees know what to watch for.

Cyber scams are becoming more convincing and are often disguised as completely normal, everyday business interactions.

Educate your team, think before you click, and make sure Cyber Liability is part of your business insurance conversation. 🔐
