✈️ A Trip Worth Taking. A Decision Worth Making. A Journey of Learning and Growth! 📚🏡💼
Honestly, deciding to take this trip wasn’t easy. I had to weigh the pros and cons, the time, the expenses, and everything that comes with stepping away from daily business operations.
But looking back, attending the AD Mortgage POWER UP Conference was absolutely worth it! 🙌
Over the past three years in the mortgage industry, I’ve primarily worked on straightforward, well-qualified loan files. But I’ve always believed that being a good mortgage professional isn’t just about closing the easy loans. It’s about finding possibilities when traditional lending doesn’t provide an answer.
This conference opened my eyes to a much bigger world of Non-QM (Non-Qualified Mortgage) lending, including:
✅ Bank Statement Loans for self-employed borrowers
✅ DSCR Loans for real estate investors
✅ 1099 Income Qualification
✅ WVOE (Written Verification of Employment) Programs
✅ Alternative Income Documentation
✅ Understanding Mortgage Securitization and Institutional Investors
But honestly, my biggest takeaway wasn’t just learning about different loan programs. It was understanding how the mortgage market actually works behind the scenes.
For years, I focused on interest rates, loan guidelines, and getting borrowers approved. This time, I had the opportunity to learn more about the relationship between the Federal Reserve, Treasury yields, mortgage-backed securities, institutional investors, and how lenders determine their pricing.
The Federal Reserve heavily influences short-term interest rates, while longer-term mortgage pricing is shaped by Treasury yields, bond markets, investor demand, and other risk factors.
Understanding these connections has given me a completely different perspective on the mortgage industry.
Before, I was learning how to originate loans. Now, I’m learning how the entire lending system works.
And that’s a big difference for me.
I certainly don’t know everything, and I still have so much to learn. But I’m proud that I’m taking the initiative to become better every day.
As the Broker/Owner of Pandey Realty, Inc., I’m building my knowledge and experience in two industries simultaneously:
🏡 Real Estate — Helping people buy, sell, and invest.
💰 Mortgage Lending — Helping borrowers explore financing solutions, including situations where traditional lending may not work.
My vision has always been to create a place where buyers, sellers, investors, Realtors, and loan officers can find the right guidance, resources, and opportunities.
One brokerage. Two industries. More possibilities.
I have several more training sessions coming up next month, and I’m genuinely excited about what’s ahead.
Because I believe that behind every challenging loan, there may still be an opportunity worth exploring. Sometimes, we just need the right knowledge, the right lender, and the determination to look a little deeper.
I’m not learning all of this just for myself. I’m learning so I can bring more knowledge, better solutions, and greater value back to the community I serve. ❤️
To anyone looking to buy, sell, invest, become a Realtor, or pursue a career as a Mortgage Loan Originator, feel free to reach out. I’d love to connect, collaborate, and grow together.
A special thank-you to the entire AD Mortgage team for putting together such an educational conference and creating opportunities for mortgage professionals like me to learn directly from industry experts.
I’m grateful for the experience, proud of the progress, and excited for the journey ahead! 🚀
