Memorial Day is a solemn day of remembrance rooted in our nation’s history — established to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country and the freedoms we enjoy today.

Originally known as “Decoration Day,” Americans gathered after the Civil War to decorate the graves of fallen soldiers and reflect on the tremendous sacrifice made in defense of our nation. That spirit of remembrance continues today as we honor all service members who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting our country and our way of life.

At Certainty, we recognize that for many families, this day holds deep personal meaning because of military service, loved ones who served, or heroes who never made it home. Their courage, selflessness, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we also take a moment to reflect with gratitude and humility for those who gave everything to our nation.
