"If rates are still above 6%, why aren't home prices falling?"

One reason is inventory. PNC Economics reports that housing supply remains relatively tight, which continues to support home prices. National home prices were up 1.5% from a year ago as of June.

Every market is different, but it's a good reminder that waiting for dramatic price drops may not be the strategy many buyers hope for.
