As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on how full-circle life can be. 🤍🇪🇨 Coming from humble beginnings in Ecuador, I learned early on that building a better life takes hard work, sacrifice, and a vision for what you want your future to look like.
Now, years later, I’m incredibly grateful to be investing in a piece of land in Ecuador where I hope to one day build a home for retirement. There’s something serendipitous about taking this step during Hispanic Heritage Month, a season dedicated to celebrating where we come from, while I’m planning for a future that brings me back to my roots.
As a financial planner, I spend so much time talking about retirement goals with others. But retirement planning isn’t only about reaching a certain number. It’s about asking yourself: What do I want the life I’m working toward to actually look like?
For me, part of that vision looks like returning to Ecuador, building something of my own, and staying connected to the place where my story began. 🇪🇨
Our heritage can shape so much of how we think about family, success, money, and the legacy we want to leave behind. This Hispanic Heritage Month, I’m especially grateful for where I came from, and excited for what I’m building toward.
Here’s to honoring our roots while intentionally planning for what comes next. 🤍
