I received a call this morning about a last-minute Power of Attorney for an upcoming closing, and it was a great reminder that not everyone may know this needs to be handled ahead of time.

If someone can’t be at closing, a POA may be an option - BUT there are specific requirements and it must be reviewed and approved prior to closing.

If you think you might need a POA, tell your lender (me) and the title company early!
