International Roadcheck 2026: Is Your Fleet Ready for the 72-Hour Blitz?
From May 12β14, 2026, the CVSA will conduct its 38th annual International Roadcheck across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This yearβs high-intensity enforcement focuses specifically on two critical safety areas: ELD integrity (falsification/tampering) and cargo securement.
What you need to know for this year's focus:
ELD Integrity: After more than 58,000 log falsification violations were cited last year, inspectors are on high alert for data manipulation, "ghost" driving, and unauthorized edits.
Cargo Securement: Itβs not just about tight straps. Inspectors will examine the condition of tie-down devices, anchor point integrity, and even the way loose dunnage is secured.
The April 14 Deadline: If you are using a revoked ELD (such as GTS, UTRUCKIN, or ELD365), you must replace it by April 14, 2026. Using a revoked device after this date means an immediate out-of-service order during the Roadcheck.
Acing the inspection isn't about luck; it's about preparation and professional discipline. Don't let a preventable violation park your truck and impact your safety score. π£οΈ
