The Minnesota Wildfire Academy hosted by Minnesota Incident Command System - MNICS in the City of Grand Rapids MN provides new and experienced firefighters with hands-on experience to battle wildfires. ... Nearly 500 students from different fire agencies and departments recently took part in a week-long course, learning how to start a prescribed fire, saw trees properly, and pump water.
