somewhere along the way, staying home became the plan we secretly hoped for anyway.

comfy clothes.
your favorite spot on the couch.
no schedule. no reservations. no need to be anywhere else.

there's something pretty great about having a place that feels 𝘴𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 that canceled plans feel more like a reward than a disappointment.

the fed says inflation. the data says jobs 👀

and right now, the mortgage market is trying to figure out which story matters more.

we saw plenty of volatility following jackson hole, while revised employment numbers showed a labor market weaker than previously reported.

next week's employment data could help break the tie.

for buyers: this isn't a market to predict. it's a market to prepare for.

thoughtful lending. intentional strategy.

that's why the strongest offer isn't always the one with the most money sitting in the bank.

sometimes a reset is simply enjoying your home, getting life back in order and giving yourself a little room before monday comes knocking.

rates tend to get all the attention. but they're only one part of the homeownership equation.

home prices continue to appreciate, and even modest appreciation can become meaningful over time.

at the same time, consumers are showing signs of slowing - and next week brings several major economic reports that could give markets more direction.
