Alabama Goes to College

Alabama Goes to College Alabama Goes to College has three components:
1.

Alabama Goes to College equips Alabamians with tools and relationships so that every student can plan for, pursue, and complete valuable postsecondary credentials. Alabama College Application Week, which is part of a national effort to increase the number of first-generation college students and students from low-income families pursuing a college degree or other higher education credential;
2. Ca

sh for College, which seeks for every graduating senior to complete their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) before they graduate from high school so that they can access federal, state, and institution aid to pay for their education after high school; and
3. Alabama College and Career Decision Day, which celebrates students committing to pursue their education past high school, whether to obtain a two-year degree, a four-year degree, a certificate or industry-recognized credential, entering the military, or pursuing a skilled trade.

πŸŽ‰ Big news! Alabama Possible has been awarded $750,000 over three years from Axim Collaborative β€” our first partnership with this incredible organization.
This investment will support our work to scale Alabama Direct Admission from a powerful access tool into a full student success ecosystem β€” adding a real-time data dashboard, expanded counselor training, personalized student outreach, and a peer-to-peer persistence network with five Alabama colleges and universities.
Alabama Direct Admission has already generated 120,000+ admission offers and $7.2 billion in scholarship opportunities for Alabama students. With this support, we’re going further β€” supporting students not just to get in, but to get through.
Thank you to Axim Collaborative for believing in Alabama’s students and in our vision for a state where every learner has a clear path to and through a postsecondary journey. πŸ“šπŸ’™
