I'm not a police officer but God bless this young lady for being so transparent!!! I agree that in our jobs, no matter what they are, we need to be there for others. We need to be there for people period!!! I sell car insurance, and I know there are people out there that hate on me because of the fact that they don't understand that I'm not the one that's charging them all this money... I'm not the one lining my pockets with cash heck I drive around in a be**er myself... I can show you the last two commission checks from the one company that I write for that are in the negative so that means I got paid absolutely no money from that company in the last 2 months. I can show you a commission check from a second company that I write for the last month was $58 in this month was $86 for the month.... But yet, I do my absolute best to make sure that people come into my office and leave with a smile on their face by finding them the cheapest car insurance that I can even if that means that I make nothing.
You don't think that I don't know how crappy it is that we are subjected to pay the prices that we are in Michigan for car insurance?
You don't think that I don't have to pay the same high price dollar for my car insurance?
In the last month, I've had a friend put up a GoFundMe page for me, I've had a friend take me on their doordash run with them and give me their proceeds because my car is too old to do that myself, and I've even had that same friend just today, do a fundraiser for me to help me get money just to keep my doors open so that I can help people.
I'm not saying this to get a pat on my back. I'm saying this because we need to start treating others as we want ourselves to be treated whatever that takes.
The world in which we live is the way that it is because there's so many people out there that want to believe that the only things in life that are getting them down are happening to them and no one else, that's just not the case.
Treat others with kindness, because you just have no idea what they're going through.
