Conventional Loan
• Down payments may start at 3%
• Typically requires stronger credit
• PMI may be removed once you qualify
• Often offers more flexibility with property types

FHA Loan
• Down payments may start at 3.5%
• More flexible credit requirements
• Requires FHA mortgage insurance
• Property must meet FHA standards

*All loans are subject to qualification and program guidelines.
* Both generally offer 15-year and 30-year fixed-rate options, although availability depends on the lender.
* Conventional loans may finance a primary home, second home, or investment property.
* FHA loans are for primary residences only.
* FHA loans have more specific appraisal and property-condition requirements.
* FHA requires an upfront mortgage insurance premium plus monthly mortgage insurance.
* Conventional PMI generally applies with less than 20% down, but it may later be removed once eligibility requirements are met.
* Both programs have loan limits, but FHA limits are often lower and vary by county.
