We’re excited to share our new Community Partner for October’s Frightening 4K, Trick or Treat in the Heat-Anchorage! 🎃 ☀️ Through the FFK registration platform, you can help support their fundraising efforts through our event registration. Skinny Raven Sports will match, up to $500, the total dollar amount raised for TOTITH through FFK registration. (Note this is not an entry that will get you a wristband for participation in the September 13th, 2026 event). The SRS team invites you to participate in this year’s Trick Or Treat In The Heat event, wristbands are on sale for the September 13th event. Participating neighborhoods can be found on TOTIH’s website and include Bayshore, Goldenview, Kempton Hills, Kincaid, Foxhall, Eagle River’s Eagleridge and Eagle Pointe, The Ranch in Wasilla, and Mountain Ranch Estates in Palmer.
The annual Ian Robbins Memorial Trick Or Treat In The Heat started in 2005 as an impromptu block event to allow a terminally-ill five year old to experience one last Halloween trick or treating. TOTIH has grown into a beloved memorial fundraiser supporting Hospice of Anchorage, Make-A-Wish Alaska & Washington, and the Seattle and Anchorage Ronald McDonald Houses.
Holding the event in early September lets kids enjoy their costumes without heavy cold-weather gear—something everyone who’s experienced late-October Alaskan Trick or Treat knows is a relief!
Thanks to the amazing community and participating neighborhoods, the 2025 event raised over $87,105 to help sick Alaskan children and their families.
We are so thankful to the Trick Or Treat In The Heat team and the Alaskan Spirit Halloween team for their efforts and willingness to join on this collaboration!
