A Relationship Manager in our organization is responsible for handling client relationships and facilitating solutions for the expressed and unexpressed needs of our clients. The relationship manager will spend a lot of time working closely with clients in Alaska and throughout the United States so they must be good with people and hold themselves to a high standard of professionalism - this includes adherence to a business professional environment and dress code.

A relationship manager team member must has a natural aptitude for emotional intelligence.

Social skills: Social influence is critical to the relationship-building that is necessary for these aims.

Self-awareness: With self-awareness, you want to know your strengths, weaknesses, values and the impressions you have upon others, which are, in essence, an essential part of good intuition. When you have self-awareness, you may appear confident and receptive to constructive criticism.

Empathy: Empathy implies having an insight into the emotional state of others. With emotional intelligence, an understanding of emotions is critical when making decisions and helping others.

Self-management: When you can put self-management into practice, you display an ability to redirect disruptive moods and impulses. Self-regulation means not allowing emotions to get the best of you.

A ParaPlanner assists the Financial Advisor in the preparation of building the clients financial plan through back office support. This position is responsible for gathering, evaluating and inputting client information accurately. This position requires a person who is profoundly detail oriented and inclined to look at financial information forensically.

Intelligence skills needed
A ParaPlanner team member must have the following skill set or knowledge base:

Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP). Similar experience would include mortgage processing, banking or tax preparation experience.

Familiarity with a plethora of financial documents to include: LES;, Tax Returns; Benefit Information; Insurance Policies, etc.

Fact Oriented: does not make assumptions but verifies data.

Confidentiality: a person who adheres to the strictest confidentiality guidelines.

Organization: a person who is very detailed and able to adhere to the database design of electronic filing systems.

Follow up on missing information
Authentication of financial data
Organization and input of financial data into the financial plan

What does a family of Planners do when they receive a Missle Ballistic threat and it takes 40 MINUTES to issue a “false alarm” notice.... grab their go bags and head to high ground with access to underground cover and a few rations!

Scary morning but from teens to toddlers... excellent family listening and unity from all.
