Volunteer Tax & Loan Program - VTLP

Welcome! We look forward to connecting with our partners, sponsors, clients and volunteers. Keep watch for updates, photos and more!

The Alaska Business Development Center provides tax assistance to residents located in partner communities of rural Alaska. Tax preparation and education on taxpayer rights and responsibilities is typically provided through direct outreach. Although teams have been unable to travel due to the virus, they have fortunately still been able to provide assistance remotely. In 2021 Team VTLP:

Assisted 6,000 taxpayers and spouses
· Prepared 5,000 tax returns
· Generated $11 million in refunds
· Recruited 70 volunteers
