Ed was born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and attended Penn State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He has been a member of NAIFA since 1994 and served as President of NAIFA of the Lehigh Valley from 1999-2000. Ed has earned the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) from The American College of Financial Services and is also designated a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow® (LUTCF®). He is a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT®). Ed has been very active in his community over the years. He currently serves on the ArtsQuest Musikfest Committee and is an ArtsQuest Volunteer Ambassador. He is a past president of the Northampton County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and a Lifetime Member of the Penn State Alumni Association. He is a past president of the Governor Wolf (Elementary School) PTA. He coached both Little League and tournament softball teams for a number of years. Ed has been married to his wife, Karen, since 1991. They have a daughter named Jana who was married in 2023 and and works as a consultant in Connecticut. In his spare time Ed enjoys attending sporting events, Penn State and Eagles football, Phillies and IronPigs baseball, golfing, reading biographies of the founding fathers and photography.
