A low rate is great, but it's not the only thing that decides if a home fits your budget. 🏡
Before you fall in love with a house, don’t just ask: “What interest rate can I get?” Also ask: "Can I comfortably afford this payment every month?"

As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, I think about how the American Dream has evolved with every generation.

1776 was about freedom. The Industrial Revolution brought opportunity. After WWII, it became homeownership. And today, we're all still writing the next chapter together.

Homeownership is never just about buying a house. It's about building communities where people live, work, raise their families, and build something to pass down.

Today’s market is not always easy. Affordability and housing supply are real challenges. But every generation before us faced obstacles that once seemed impossible and found a way through. I get to see it happen with families every day, and it's still my favorite part of this job. ❤️

🚲 Algonquin parents are stepping up, and it shows.

More and more families on our streets are checking their kids' e-bikes against Illinois law before letting them ride. They're asking the right question: Is this actually a low-speed e-bike, or an Out-of-Class Electric Vehicle that needs a license, title, and insurance?

Here's the quick test the smart parents are running:
✅ Working pedals + motor under 750 watts
✅ Class 1, 2, or 3 (cuts out at 20–28 mph)
✅ Class 3 riders are 16+
✅ Ridden where it's allowed - off-road on private property, NOT village roads, sidewalks, bike lanes, or paths

If your child's "electric dirt bike" tops 750 watts, runs on throttle only, or breaks 28 mph, it's not an e-bike under Illinois law; it's a motor vehicle.

So, make this week's promise: before your kid rides, you'll run the check. Comment "✅ I checked" below - the parents who say it out loud are the ones who follow through, and their kids notice. 💙
