Bertus recently spent a week on a pest control trip to Ngamatea Station with a few mates, and came home with a solid haul of venison.
He says Ngamatea is a pretty serious operation. A 70,000 acre high country sheep and beef station wintering around 80,000 stock units, with a focus on prime lamb production and a wool clip of roughly 180,000kg a year. Seeing a station of that scale run so well day to day was a real highlight of the trip.
It's these kinds of experiences that keep us connected to the farming community we work alongside every day.
