Hi everyone, my name is Carrie and I am the Paraplanner for Scott & Associates. Prior to joining St. James’s Place in 2010, I spent 10 years working in the banking industry and have now worked alongside Derek for over a decade.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and attending music festivals. Before becoming a grandmother to my lively grandson, I dedicated time to volunteering, including helping care for elephants at a local animal park and supporting underprivileged children while volunteering in Uganda.

I have been a cold-water swimmer for several years also, and now enjoy sharing my love of swimming with my grandson.

Hello there,

My name is Sarah White and I am the newest member of Scott & Associates having joined the practice as a Financial Adviser around 18 months ago. I have been in the industry for 18 years now looking after many wonderful clients over the years.

Away from the office I have a very busy life as a mother of four! Work is my respite as our household is pretty busy, but I love supporting my sons in all of their football pursuits and watching my daughter dance, this year she has her very first show!

Hi, my name is Rebecca McGinty and I have been a financial adviser since 2017! I love working at Scott & Associates as it has a fun (but professional), friendly, family atmosphere and we hope this seeps through to our clients! I am due to marry the principal Derek Scott in the summer and I am currently working part time as I have been on adoption leave since Feb, so we have lots to be celebrating in 2026! Hello all,

I know I introduced myself a little while ago, but I thought I’d share a little update on my journey here at Scott & Associates Financial Planning.

It’s fair to say a lot has changed since I first joined the company! Back then, it was mainly just Derek and myself in a small two-person office, alongside our wonderful paraplanner Carrie who was working remotely. Fast forward to today, and as you may have seen from our recent posts, our office family has grown tremendously.

My role within Scott & Associates has evolved too. As the need for a full-time Office Manager grew, I realised it was time for me to either step up or step aside. Thankfully, things have worked out brilliantly — Helena has taken on the role of Office Manager and is doing an amazing job, which means I still get to enjoy my four-day weekends with my fur baby 😊 and continue my duties as a full-time mum!

I still absolutely love my role here. These days, I spend most of my time speaking with our lovely clients and helping them with their enquiries, which is something I genuinely enjoy.

I’m incredibly proud of the journey Scott & Associates has been on and it’s been amazing to watch the company go from strength to strength. I’m excited to see what the future holds for all of us!

Hi everyone, my name is Lee Fincham, and I am an Adviser at Scott & Associates. I joined the team in September 2019 after spending many years in the financial world.

Over the years, I’ve built a strong passion for helping people feel more confident about their finances and supporting them through every stage of their financial journey.

Since joining Scott & Associates, I’ve seen the team grow year after year, and every single member plays a vital part in ensuring the business runs smoothly day in and day out. Clients are at the heart of everything we do, and making sure they feel valued and supported is something that is incredibly important to me.

Outside of work, I’ve recently become a dad for the third time, so spending quality time with my family is more important than ever. Whenever we get the chance, we’ll definitely be on a plane heading somewhere warm.

I’m also a huge sports fan and enjoy both playing and watching all kinds of sport. I’m always up for a physical challenge too — with a half marathon and the Three Peaks Challenge booked for May, it’s set to be a busy month… wish me luck!

Hi everyone, I’m Helena Solley and I’ve proudly been part of the Scott & Associates team for the past 4 years. Starting out as an Office Administrator, I’ve since progressed into my current role as Practice Manager — a journey that has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally.
I’m passionate about organisation, creating structure, and helping drive growth, so I love being part of a role where no two days are ever the same. One of the best parts of my job is working alongside such a supportive and talented team, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for us all.
