Stick 'n' Step Stick 'n' Step provides Conductive Education to over 100 children from across North West UK We do not receive any statutory funding.

Stick 'n' Step have 2 centres; one in Wallasey and one in Runcorn and we currently provide free weekly or twice weekly conductive education sessions to over 100 children from across the North-West. Conductive Education is designed to help children and young people to become more mobile, more confident and more independent- ultimately helping them to reach their personal potential and to go on and

live a more independent life. This development takes time and many of the children that we work with will attend Stick 'n' Step sessions for many years. It costs in the region of ยฃ750,000 per year to deliver our services annually. It costs ยฃ7000 per child, per year to provide weekly or twice weekly group conductive sessions to each child that Stick 'n' Step supports. We rely on the generosity of local people, businesses, communities and grant making trusts. We want to ensure that all families in the North West of England, regardless of financial position, are able to access the support and services they need.

On Sunday, a dedicated team of supporters laced up their walking boots and took on the 20km Wirral Coastal Walk challenge and raised over ยฃ2,000 which will contribute towards providing life-changing therapy for children living with cerebral palsy.

Each participant received a goodie bag provided by Bond Turner solicitors and wore a smile every step of the way.

We are so grateful to each of our dedicated supporters who take on challenges such as the Wirral Walk to raise funds and awareness of the life-changing service we offer.

In just 2 weeksโ€™ time, our Big Give match-funding campaign launches and we have secured ยฃ7,350 in match funding. Thanks to Postcode Neighbourhood Trust, Globalโ€™s Make Some Noise and NCVO for making this possible!

This will be our first year participating in their Small Charity Week campaign, enabling Stick โ€˜nโ€™ Step to receive DOUBLE the donations during campaign week.

โšฝWorld Cup Prediction Competition โšฝ

Jamieโ€™s Dad, Joe, organises a football predictions fundraiser each time there are the Euros or World Cup and does a fantastic job of it too!

Joe would like to invite our supporters to get involved to raise as much money as possible for Stick โ€˜nโ€™ Step.

Joe says โ€œI've decided to donate this year again to Stick n Step, a charity based in Runcorn & Wallasey. My son Jamie has cerebral palsy and this time 12 years ago, he was a month old, and we had no idea what his life would be like in the future given the severity of his brain injury from birth. However, anyone who has ever met Jamie will know that he has made the most of his gifts - even during his offhand attempts to wind me up by telling me he wants to be a Liverpool fan!

It's no exaggeration to say though that if it wasn't for the dedicated staff at Stick n Step, Jamie wouldn't be anywhere near as lively and flexible as he is. They do incredible work for kids like Jamie throughout Merseyside and Cheshire, and we want that to continue for as long as possible. Unfortunately, as with most places at the moment, they are really struggling for funds to carry on operating, so let's do our best to raise a decent pot of money for them by begging for a late Uzbek consolation goal at 4 in the morning.โ€

It is ยฃ10 to take part, with ยฃ5 going into the prize pot and ยฃ5 to Stick โ€˜nโ€™ Step.
