The Bank Of England Rate remains unchanged but Lenders are still very active. Over the last few weeks Lenders have been reducing rates so if you have a Fixed rate ending this year, looking to move this year or a First Time Buyer why not review your options now and avoid the unexpected.

If you are reading this, you may be thinking that mortgage rates have gone up since my last mortgage rate and when I come to remortgage it will be more expensive. There are several points to consider

· You existing Fixed Rate has an end date so remortgaging will need to happen if you want to avoid going on the higher Standard Variable Rate.

· You can start planning up to 6 months in advance so you have time to plan rather than leaving it to the last minute and panicking.

· What happens if a better rate comes along, I hear you cry. If you choose a rate early most lenders will allow you to change the rate if the rate is better but if rates went up you can remain on the rate you have chosen. By delaying you could risk missing out!

Michael has been absolutely brilliant – we cannot recommend him enough! Michael made the whole process simple and straightforward and as first time buyers, we really appreciated his wisdom. He met with us over zoom on several occasions and talked us through the whole process. No judgement was given about the number of questions we had and he was able to answer every single one straight away!

Not only did Michael sort out our mortgage and life cover, but he was also with us through every step of the process – checking in and chasing our (frankly rubbish) solicitor. He gave us confidence in our decisions and we were able to continue to ask questions even after the whole process had been completed. He was far more helpful than our solicitor and it was amazing to know he was there as and when we had questions with speedy replies. It’s been rather stressful moving house and renovating but having Michael on our side has made the whole thing much more manageable. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a mortgage and can’t stop singing his praises to anyone we know who is moving!
