It was always a huge ambition for us to have a branch in Widnes town centre. We achieved this prior to Covid and everything that 2020 brought with it. Over the past few years, we have seen the number of people who use our branch reduce. We began by closing the shop a couple of days per week, but the numbers are just too low for us to keep the shop open.

As a not-for-profit, our aim is not to make profit, but to run a service. This service must be maintainable, sadly we have reached the point at which it no longer is maintainable for us to keep it open.

The Widnes branch will close on Friday 5th June
