As we edge closer to tomorrow’s Bank of England interest rate announcement, there’s been plenty of speculation that the Bank of England’s Base Rate could have a 4 at the front of it tomorrow! 📈 What do you think?
Great news for savers, that is, assuming the cost of living hasn’t already depleted their savings! 🙄
Anyway, whilst browsing the Bank of England’s website and screenshotting what could be the last time we see Base Rate at 3.75%, I stumbled across something a little more cheerful!
The Bank of England has announced the four animals chosen to feature on its next generation of banknotes, celebrating some rather lovely (they say!) UK wildlife.
The line-up includes:
🐧 The Atlantic Puffin
🦉 The Barn Owl
🐝 The Buff-tailed Bumblebee
🦔 The European Hedgehog (UK wildlife? 🤔)
Not quite the financial news I went looking for, but a welcome distraction from interest rates, inflation and the property market!
