Congratulations to our winner, Rachel!

Referrals mean a lot to our business. To say thank you, we decided to put the names of everyone who referred a customer to us in 2025 into a draw to win £500.

Beat the Stamp Duty Hike

The average property transaction takes 25 weeks to go through*. That means you still have time to beat the stamp duty hike of 1st April 2025. Current rules mean those buying a single property pay stamp duty on the value once it exceeds £250k (or £425k for first time buyers). These thresholds are due to expire on 1 April 2025 and revert back to stamp duty being due once the value of the property exceeds £125k (and £300k for first time buyers).

Today, we share our support for Armed Forces Day. We know lots of our clients have links with the Armed Forces and so we take this opportunity to celebrate those currently serving, veterans, and cadets.

Here is our very own veteran, Terry with soldiers from his battalion in front of HMS Victory. Terry served for 22 years as an Avionics Technician before setting up Orwell Mortgages with Steve (Stephen).

As part of our commitment to the Armed Forces, we are sponsoring REME in The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) Field Gun Competition on Saturday 6th July as part of the HMS Collingswood Open Day.
