Nice to be asked about my opinion :) Thank you Mortgage Introducer!

Recently, even the clients with mainstream lending are falling foul to adverse credit limiting their options when it comes to the end of their fixed periods. And those who have an opportunity to re-fix with a new lender are burying their heads until it is too late.

More important than ever to reach out as soon as you start to feel the pinch. I'm always available even if just a sounding board!

New study showing that 1 in 4 people will only pay for the mandatory insurance due to the cost of living crisis. As an adviser, I hammer home the importance of not just protecting the mortgage, but the income to pay the mortgage and the family - and can relate to this statistic looking at the number of people who progress.

Also seem to be a lot of directly arranged policies that either wouldnt cover in the event of a claim (income related, cover type etc) - or even over paying for what is thought to be needed.

As always, if anyone needs to chat through their insurance provision, even if its just to double check what you already have in place is suitable, please reach out.

The Government recently announced changes to Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) regulations. The decision to remove the deadlines has raised questions about its future impact and the influence this has on landlords. Despite the changes, properties still require an EPC rating although there is no longer a requirement for new tenancies to have a rating of C or above.
