Over the past few weeks, 𝗦𝗪𝗔𝗣 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘂𝗽 📈

👉 Why does that matter?

Because SWAP rates heavily influence fixed mortgage pricing.

And here’s what’s happening right now:
• Lenders are already repricing deals upwards
• The “cheap fixes” we saw earlier this year are starting to disappear
• Waiting could mean locking in at a higher rate than today

• Inflation is still unpredictable, which means rate cuts may be delayed or limited

✅ Secure a rate NOW
✅ Switch to a better deal later if rates improve
✅ Avoid getting stuck with higher rates if they rise further

Karl brings over 10 years of experience within financial services, having worked for both Barclays PLC and HW Fisher & Co. His career began as a Chartered Accountant, earning his ACA qualification, before moving into a Global Cash and Liquidity Specialist role and later becoming a Business Development Director within the insurance sector.

Westways Financial was born from Karl’s decision to leave the corporate world and focus on helping individuals and families achieve their property ambitions. His analytical background and commercial experience continue to shape the strategic direction of the business today.

In 2024, Karl expanded his focus to support property investors and developers with portfolio growth, development funding and bridging finance. From that vision, our sister company Port Anchor Financial Solutions was established to provide specialist finance for more complex property transactions.

Outside of work, Karl is a passionate poker player, a lifelong Arsenal supporter and a firm believer that the best client meetings often happen on the golf course. With The Westways Golf Championships already in the planning stages, you may well find him there this year.
