The slight rise in inflation has seen SWAP rates rise over the past day or so, which may well cause a knock on effect with Lenders in due course. Watch this space.

2 year swap rates have increased by c0.50% over the past month. This is likely to have a knock on effect with Mortgage rates over this period. If there are any current Mortgage holders out there, with current Products expiring in the coming months, it could beva time to view your options.

Encouraging to see that HSBC have launched a 5 year fix rate sub 4% interest rate Product, , conditions and criteria apply, but is a positive sign for Home owners.

NATIONWIDE QUARTERLY PROPERTY REPORT 2022

● Fourth consecutive monthly decline drives annual house price growth down to 2.8% in December
● All regions record a slowdown in annual price growth in the final quarter of the year
● East Anglia the strongest performing region in 2022, while Scotland was weakest
● Gap between weakest and strongest regions smallest since Society’s regional indices began in 1974
● Since Q1 2020, price growth in detached properties was around double that of flats
