Registration for the UK Investment Competition 2026 is now open!

If you are a university student interested in asset management, trading, and building your own portfolio, we would love for you to join us for this year’s UK Investment Competition, hosted in partnership with UMushroom.

In teams of 1 to 3, you will manage a £100,000 paper portfolio across 7 weeks of live markets while attending weekly webinars led by industry experts. The top 10 teams from our university will compete in a live pre-final, with one winning team advancing to the Grand Final in London on 1st December!

This is a fantastic opportunity to compete for internships with top financial partners, as well as expert coaching and exclusive vouchers.

We are excited to announce that applications to the CUFIS and CamSIF Ambassadors Network for AY 2026–27 are now open!

Ambassadors represent CUFIS & CamSIF within their respective colleges and faculties, and will be responsible for promoting events, supporting the committees, and being an active member of the society.

This is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate your interest in financial services, and the ambassador role also serves as a pipeline into more senior committee positions within the society.

This three-part series is designed to introduce you to finance, the spring week application process, and top tips from our executive committee.

Each session opens with a presentation followed by a live Q&A.

Webinar 1 covers spring week basics and an overview of different sectors (AM, IB, Trading, and more).

Introducing the CUFIS Executive Committee for the Academic Year 2026-27!

CamSIF is thrilled to launch our new Quant Programme in partnership with Citadel! If you’re passionate about quantitative finance, data-driven research, and systematic investing, this programme provides a unique opportunity to develop practical skills while gaining insight into how leading quantitative firms approach the markets.

Participants will work in small teams to design, construct, and backtest systematic strategies across various asset classes, with direct guidance from professionals at Citadel along the way.

We're looking for students with keen interest(s) in:
•⁠ ⁠Python/C/R
•⁠ ⁠Statistics, probability, econometrics, or machine learning
•⁠ ⁠Financial markets, trading, or investing interest
•⁠ ⁠Data analysis
•⁠ ⁠A background in research, engineering, maths, CS, economics, or related fields is preferred
