☀️ UK Heatwave: 3 Quick Tips for Businesses ☀️
With temperatures soaring across the UK (particularly here in the South West) here are three ways to stay cool and protect your business:
🏢 1. Protect Your Property
Hot weather can put extra strain on electrical equipment, refrigeration units, and air conditioning systems. Check that cooling systems are working properly, keep vents clear, and ensure any temperature-sensitive stock is stored correctly.
👥 2. Look After Your Team
Make sure employees have access to plenty of drinking water, take regular breaks where possible, and consider adjusting working patterns for staff who spend time outdoors. A comfortable workforce is a safer and more productive workforce. You could also consider treating them to a water fight or a giant ice cream. To minimise risk, we would recommend water fights to take place away from electrical equipment (unlike Mathew and Steve).

While a giant tub of ice might sound appealing this week, it’s probably not covered in your health and safety policy. Stick to fans, shade, cold drinks, and leave the ice baths to the influencers like Mathew.
