Oak & Apple is seeking a full time employee for 30 hours a week for office admin and reception work during our office hours of 10-3. This role is perfect for accomodating school drop off and pick up.

The successful applicant will be comfortable on the phone, comfortable in a digital environment, able to handle multiple inputs in a day, and deal effectively and efficiently with all walk up traffic. Average typing speed is expected (40-60 words per minute).

More duties and increased income should be expected as the employee demonstrates proficiency.

Due to the spring storm we are currently experiencing, Oak & Apple is closed until further notice. No one will be in the office and applications will not be reviewed until further notice. We will be triaging maintenance requests on a priority basis.

PSA: Attention All Contractors and Trades.

In FY 2021, Oak & Apple Inc. paid out in excess of $155,000 in maintenance invoices. We paid this out to a variety of trades and contractors for work performed and anticipate this number to double in FY 2022.

That being said, it has come to my attention that our office staff; contained exclusively of hardworking incredibly talented women, have been experiencing difficulty in getting some trades to return their calls. These same trades have no difficulty in returning calls from Dennis; my business partner and general maintenance overseer.

Let me make this clear to all trades and contractors: if it comes to my attention that you have been assigned work and are refusing to communicate in a timely manner with our office staff on account of their gender, I will step in myself personally and ensure that you and your company is no longer assigned work by Oak & Apple. If your ego is so fragile that you won't report to a woman about work they have assigned you, we will spend our $155,000+ budget elsewhere.

This message (in addition to other pertinent information) will be included in a "New Vendor PDF" that is currently in design and will be circulated amongst all of our current and future vendors.
