BANK OF CANADA RATE UPDATE
NO RATE CHANGE!

The Bank of Canada announced today that it is holding its policy rate at 2.25%.

What does this mean for you?
Variable-rate mortgages: No change following today’s announcement.
Lines of credit: No change following today’s announcement.
Fixed mortgage rates: Not directly affected by Bank of Canada rate announcements, as fixed rates are influenced mainly by the bond market.

Canada’s economy is showing signs of improvement, and inflation is expected to gradually move closer to the Bank’s 2% target.

The next Bank of Canada rate announcement is scheduled for September 2, 2026.
