What is the difference between a line of credit and a credit card? 💭

A line of credit and a credit card are both forms of revolving credit. This means you can borrow up to an approved limit, repay what you’ve borrowed, and borrow again as needed.

A line of credit typically has a lower interest rate and higher credit limit, and you generally pay interest only on the amount you borrow. Credit cards are designed for everyday purchases and typically have higher interest rates, but you may avoid interest on purchases when you pay your balance in full by the due date.

🏡 Single-Year Funding: one-time grant of $2,500–$10,000.
🌱 Multi-Year Funding: $10,001–$25,000 per year, for up to three years.

105 native trees and shrubs. One beautiful way to grow a greener community! 🌳🌱

On Thursday, Kindred team members rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty, volunteering with Sustainable Waterloo Region's Microforest program to plant 105 native trees and shrubs on a property in Wellesley.

This planting marked an exciting milestone: the program's 70th planting! Together, these efforts have added more than 7,000 trees to Waterloo Region, helping support biodiversity, create habitat for wildlife, and build a healthier environment for generations to come.

We're grateful for opportunities like this to care for creation, connect with our teammates, and make a lasting difference in our communities.

A little teamwork can really help good things grow! 💚

A scam call or message can seem surprisingly real. 🚩

Someone might contact you claiming to be from your financial institution. They may know your name or other details, then ask you to confirm information or act quickly.

That’s your cue to pause.
Watch for red flags like:

1. Pressure to act right away
2. Requests for personal or account information
3. Links or instructions you weren’t expecting
4. Anything that just doesn’t feel right

You don’t have to decide if a call or message is real on the spot. Take a moment and contact the organization directly using contact information you know you can trust.
And if you’re not sure whether a call or message is really from Kindred, don’t guess. Contact us directly and we’ll help you check.
