Term life or whole life? The honest answer is that it depends on what you are trying to protect.
Term life insurance is coverage for a set period of time. It is often a good place to start when you have a mortgage, young kids, or other responsibilities that will not last forever.
Whole life insurance is lifelong coverage and can build cash value over time. It is a different conversation and can make sense for different reasons.
Neither one is automatically better. The right fit comes down to your life, your budget, and what you want your coverage to do.
