Sean, Crystal and Jocelyn recently attended the 2026 IAFP® Symposium in Winnipeg, an annual gathering focused on advanced financial planning, professional development and connecting with others across the industry. This year’s Symposium brought together more than 20 speakers for sessions covering technical planning topics, behavioural finance, retirement, tax and estate planning.

We connected with Julia Chung, CFP, CLU, FEA, TEP, Board Chair of the Financial Planning Association of Canada. As well as keynote speaker, David Chilton, best-selling author of The Wealthy Barber and former Dragon on CBC’s Dragons’ Den. David has spent more than 35 years helping Canadians better understand personal finance, and his presentation brought his trademark mix of practical financial wisdom, storytelling and humour to the Symposium.

Events like these give our team the opportunity to keep learning, exchange ideas with other professionals and bring new perspectives back into the planning conversations we have with our clients.
