This week, I celebrated another trip around the sun. ☀️ It is always such a treat to receive bday wishes, texts, calls, cards, coffee dates and more. I’m so grateful for all of it.
Birthdays have a funny way of changing as we get older.
When you’re young, you count the years because you’re excited about what’s ahead.
Then somewhere along the way, you start counting them a little differently.
Not so much How old am I?
But How many more experiences do I want to have? Who do I want beside me? What do I still want to do?
Getting older has made me realize that life is incredibly easy to take for granted.
The ordinary Tuesday dinners.
The coffee with a friend.
The people who call just to check in.
The beautiful fall days we almost miss because we’re too busy getting through the week.
So here’s to another year.
More laughing. More adventures. More time with my people. More saying yes to the things that matter.
And hopefully a little less worrying about the things that don’t. ❤️
