HSBC is selling its Australian home loan and personal loan portfolio (around $36 billion) to Blackstone, subject to regulatory approval.
Pepper Money is expected to Manage home loan from early 2027.
HSBC will close its retail banking business over the next 18 months, including branches and consumer banking products.
