If something happened to you tomorrow, would your family know what to do?
It's a difficult question—but one worth asking.
Estate planning is about more than deciding who receives your assets. It's about making sure your family isn't left trying to work everything out during an already difficult time.
For families with children, some of the basics include:
📄 A Will — to set out how your estate should be dealt with.
⚖️ Power of Attorney — so someone you trust can manage your affairs if you're unable to.
💰 Beneficiary nominations — particularly for superannuation, which may not be controlled by your Will.
These documents aren't something you should organise once and forget.
Your family changes. Your assets change. Your circumstances change.
Good estate planning means making sure your arrangements keep up.
Don't wait until you need these documents to discover they're missing or out of date.
