Your property may have built up equity—but that doesn’t necessarily mean all of it is available to borrow. 🏡

When looking at usable equity, lenders may also consider your property’s current valuation, your income and expenses, existing debts, serviceability and their own lending criteria.

So while equity can potentially help fund your next property move, there’s more to the calculation than simply subtracting your loan balance from your property value.
