Today’s a sad day for Bonza going into voluntary administration.
For those of you don’t that don’t know, Bonza targets regional cities to connect people in regional locations
Let me share this with you to give you an idea…
Families that live in regional areas are slugged with excessive flight prices to simply fly to our closest capital city. Look at this example below…
I’ve just priced up a Qantas flight from Gladstone to Brisbane return for our family of 5 which is a 1 hour flight $3117 return for 2 adults and 3 kids ($3k)!!
We had a flight with Bonza return all 5 of us for $250 from Rockhampton to the Gold Coast!
That’s incredible and you know what they did a GREAT job! We would happily fly them again.
We’ve also got another trip booked for the 5 of us Brisbane to Auckland less than $1000 return! So we can travel overseas cheaper than flying to our closest capital city of Brisbane. This is CRAZY!! I know many others in other regional areas are often slugged even more than this.
Those of us who live in regional centres face costly flight options, and Bonza was a great opportunity to bring some competition to regional flights.
We hope Bonza can get sorted out because plenty of people will support it if it can be run correctly. People often ask us why we don’t travel back to Adelaide often… this is why! Last time I priced up a flight to Adelaide return it was over $5000!! If I’m spending that much on flights, I’m leaving the country not going to Adelaide 🤣
Good luck with the administration process Bonza, regional Australia needs you!!
