As expected, the RBA has lifted the cash rate by 0.25% to 4.60% at its September meeting.

Spring may be here, but inflationary pressures aren’t going away just yet. Sticky inflation, a tight labour market and global pressures - including Middle East tensions, elevated oil and commodity prices and capacity constraints - continue to add to domestic inflation risks.

The rate rise was expected, but it’s another reminder that the path ahead isn’t necessarily straightforward.

It’s a good time to review your loan and make sure you’re on a competitive rate and structure.
