Hunger is a growing crisis in Queensland, with 1 in 5 households now going without regular meals.

That's why some of our Authorised Reps, led by Steve Carey of Lewis Insurance Services, recently spent time volunteering at Foodbank Queensland before presenting a $25,000 cheque on behalf of the IA Foundation.

Foodbank Queensland is the state's largest hunger relief charity. Every week it supports around 135,000 Queenslanders in crisis and provides breakfast to 52,000 children during the school term.

Proud to back the work they do, and grateful to Steve and the team for showing up and getting stuck in.

AR Spotlight: Meet Richard Moxham

Richard Moxham of Bright Insurance in Geelong has 13 years’ experience in the industry, specialising in mid-market commercial and financial lines, with a growing focus on tech and start-up clients.

Richard believes the real value of insurance advice isn’t just choosing an insurer, it’s making sure the cover actually responds when it matters. By identifying gaps between what clients think they’re covered for and what their policy says, he helps businesses avoid costly surprises at claim time.

For Richard, trust comes from being honest, even when it’s not what clients want to hear, and focusing on long-term outcomes over short-term wins.

Good cover is not just about what you choose at the start, it is about how it holds up when you need it most.

We help set things up properly from day one, and stay with you through claim time as well.

That's Real Value.

Cybercrime doesn’t always look like a threat.

Social engineering scams like phishing and spear phishing are designed to trick people into sharing information or transferring money.

Understanding how they work is key to protecting your business.

Great insurance advice isn’t about looking back at what went wrong. It’s about looking ahead, understanding what’s coming, and helping you prepare for it before it arrives.

That’s the value of foresight. That’s Active Advice.

This weeks Federal Budget included several measures that may impact small businesses, from the permanent $20,000 instant asset write-off to proposed changes aimed at supporting business cash flow and investment.

While these announcements may be welcome, they’re also a timely reminder for business owners to look beyond the tax benefits and consider how changes to equipment, staffing, turnover, contracts or operations could affect their overall risk profile.
