Applications for our Community Bank Lindfield - 2027 University Scholarship are NOW OPEN! 🎓

The scholarship is open to local students from the Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai areas who are entering their second (or more) year of university in 2027. The winner(s) will receive $9,000 per year, for two years, to help ease the burden of costs like accommodation, textbooks, equipment and education-related travel, so recipients can focus on what matters most: their studies and their community.

Last night we hosted our bi-annual Staff and Directors Grant night, where every staff member and director of Community Bank Lindfield was given $1,000 to direct to a charity or community group close to their heart. By the end of the night, $15,000 had been shared between 15 wonderful local organisations.

Last Wednesday we headed along to Bowling Club’s Trivia Night, which we were proud to sponsor.

Jennifer and Jim, David and Ruth, and Peter and Sharon made up our team, and it was a fun night. We finished 9th out of 12, so there’s plenty of room for improvement!

We’ll be back to sponsor again on 24 February next year, which gives us some time to brush up on our general knowledge. Thanks to Turramurra Bowling Club for having us. 💚

New art on the wall - come celebrate with us! 🎨

On Monday 27 October from 10am, we are hosting a morning tea at our Lindfield branch to launch three new Studio ARTES artists on our community art wall. All customers and community members are warmly invited to pop in, enjoy a cuppa, and meet the team from Studio ARTES.

The new exhibition features work from Gello (Genaro) Oris, Shelly (Rachelle), and Janette Scannes, one of Studio ARTES’ founding members.

Our new court dividers are up at the , and they look great!

We were proud to sponsor the West Lindfield Sport and Recreation Club with funding for the new dividers. The old ones were broken, which limited how many teams could train at once.

Now the court can be split, so several training sessions and programs can run at the same time. That means more players across different age groups and teams can get on court, in a safer, more organised space.

Good luck to all the high school students heading back this week for Term 4!
Last term, students representing Pymble Ladies' College, Brigidine College St Ives and Turramurra High School joined us as Pitch Partners at Community Pitch 2026. They listened closely, asked questions and spent the night connecting with the 10 local organisations pitching for funding.

The students were a credit to their schools, and it was great to see them take such a genuine interest in their community.

Thank you to all three schools for being Pitch Partners this year. Wishing every student a great final term. 💚

Happy 10th Birthday, Hornsby Connect! 🎉
Thanks for inviting us to help you celebrate this milestone.
As long-time supporters, Community Bank Lindfield was proud to contribute a $17,336 Great BIG Community Grant earlier this year. Combined with a NSW Government Community Building Partnership grant, it has helped fit out Hornsby Connect's new refrigerated food-relief truck, which our board director Kenneth Kok got to check out on the day. The truck will make a real difference to the amount of fresh and frozen food Hornsby Connect can rescue and distribute to those who need it most.

If you're not familiar with the great work Hornsby Connect do, they run a food pantry providing affordable groceries and hampers to local families doing it tough, with a "hand up, not a hand out" approach that treats everyone with dignity. They also run the Connect Zone, a weekly social space for neurodivergent teens aged 12 to 18.

A big thank you to Doug Reid, President of Hornsby Connect, and to the whole team and volunteers who make it all happen. Here's to the next 10 years! 💚
