After having no luck with several banks, Joel from SA Cranes & Rigging was referred to Sam in our Sydney office to finance a crane that already had work waiting for it.

The challenge? Joel’s ABN had been running for two years, but he wasn’t GST registered, used it only occasionally and didn’t have comparable credit anywhere near the value of the crane. On paper, that put him outside the banks’ usual policies.

Joel secured a letter from one of the businesses ready to subcontract work to him. Sam then worked with Joel’s accountant to prepare a cash flow forecast showing the lender that the crane would be an income-generating asset with work already lined up.

The result: finance approved, crane funded and Joel ready to get to work with crane number 2 already in the pipeline!
