The 2026 SA Variety Bash has officially wrapped up following an unforgettable week on the road.

After widespread torrential rain forced organisers to re-route the journey several times, the team in Car PUTT pushed on and successfully completed the Bash.

Their efforts were recognised on the first night at Pichi Richi Park, where the team received a Silver Fundraising Award after raising more than $29,000 in their first year as Bashers.

A fantastic achievement by Paul Longbottom, Andrew Manuel, Roydon Smith and our Clare broker, Liam Bache. Congratulations to the entire team on completing the 2026 SA Variety Bash and supporting the important work of Variety - the Children’s Charity SA.

Hosted by WoTL, the Thriving Women Conference brought together women connected to agriculture from across Australia, with the two-day program exploring the issues and experiences shaping regional industries.

Held in Bendigo, the conference combined keynote presentations with practical sessions, giving attendees the opportunity to hear from industry leaders and take valuable insights back into their work.

Our Shepparton Branch Manager and experienced broker, Guy Carboni, represented MGA Insurance Group throughout the conference, connecting with attendees and gaining valuable insight into the priorities of people working across regional Australia.

It was a fantastic experience to be part of the Wine Industry Impact Summit at the National Wine Centre in Adelaide.

Our Naracoorte Branch Manager and experienced broker Chris Matthews, joined the Built to Last: Risk, Resilience & the Conditions for Growth panel, sharing his perspective on managing risk and building resilience across the wine industry.

With more than 30 years of experience and strong connections to South Australia’s wine regions, Chris brought valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities facing wine businesses.

The Variety Bash is back on the road in 2026, and one of our own will be joining the convoy.

Liam Bache, broker from our Clare office, will take part in the “Pivot to Pirie” SA Variety Bash, travelling through regional South Australia as part of one of the country’s most iconic charity motoring events.

As long-term supporters of Variety - the Children’s Charity SA, we’re looking forward to following Liam’s journey and seeing the Bash roll through communities across the state.
