The 2025 Master Painters Association of Victoria and Tasmania (MPAV) Awards for Excellence was an opportunity to recognise the painters, apprentices and businesses producing outstanding work across the states.

Congratulations to Merc Group Projects on being named Monarch Master Painter of the Year, along with all winners and finalists recognised throughout the evening.

As a long-standing supporter of the industry, MPAV continues to play an important role in celebrating excellence and supporting emerging talent. We were pleased to be part of the evening, with our specialist broker Andrew Faber representing MGA on the night.

A fantastic evening celebrating the achievements of the bowls community at the 2026 Bowls SA Awards Night. It was a pleasure for our specialist bowls broker, Rebekah Munn, to attend and recognise the outstanding performances delivered throughout the season.

Congratulations to Gerrin Jenke of Berri Bowling Club, named the 2025–26 MGA Men’s Country Carnival Player of the Year, and Cathryn Greenslade of Riverton Bowling Club, recognised as the 2025–26 MGA Women’s Country Carnival Player of the Year.

Well done to all award winners, finalists and nominees, and thank you to Bowls SA for another memorable evening.

Last week, the 2026 ANZIIF South Australian Charity Luncheon brought together members of the insurance industry in support of an important cause.

Now in its 53rd year, the event remains a valued opportunity to connect with industry colleagues while supporting the important work of The Zahra Foundation Australia.

The MGA Whittles Group of Companies were proud to once again support the Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT annual Wings for Life Gala Ball.

With the theme of ‘Game On’, the event raised a record-breaking $390,000, going directly towards the fit-out of five new RFDS aircraft to help deliver critical care to some of the most remote corners of SA and the NT.

Our long-standing partnership with the RFDS helps strengthen healthcare access, patient transfer efficiency and community wellbeing across regional and remote Australia.

We held our Back to Base training program in Adelaide, welcoming new team members from Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Toowoomba and Port Lincoln.

The two-day program gives new personnel the opportunity to become familiar with key people, systems and general operations across the business. Beyond the informative sessions, it also provides a chance to build connections and network in a relaxed and supportive environment.

It was fantastic to see team members engaging with one another, sharing experiences and settling into the MGA culture as they begin their journey with us.

MGA broker Tim Hardy recently represented the Australian Country Hockey Team during their international tour of Malaysia. The team took on state sides and the Malaysian U21 national team across Penang, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur and Melaka. The tour proved a memorable experience both on and off the field, with the men's side finishing the campaign undefeated, winning all seven matches.

Tim was also part of the team’s leadership group throughout the tour, helping represent Australian country hockey at an international level while building lasting connections through the game. We were pleased to support Tim and celebrate this fantastic achievement, representing both regional Australia and the country on the international stage.
