Another interest rate rise 📈🏡

The RBA has increased the official cash rate by 0.25 percentage points, bringing it to 4.85%.

Whether you already have a mortgage or you’re hoping to buy your first home, changes to the cash rate can have an impact on your finances.

But remember, a cash rate increase doesn’t automatically mean every home loan rate increases by the same amount.
Now is a great time to review your current loan, understand your repayments and make sure you’re getting a competitive deal.

Paying for an offset account you’re barely using? 👀💸

If you’re not keeping money in it, you could be paying fees without getting much back in interest savings.

Check what your offset is costing you and whether it’s actually earning its keep. It might be worth switching to a loan without that feature.
