Happy Father’s Day from Box Seat Finance! 💙

And judging by my Father’s Day artwork, I think I’m doing alright in the Dad department 😂❤️

Work-life balance 🍾
One thing I’ve learnt since becoming self-employed is that there will always be something that needs doing.

Another email to answer. Another application to work on. Another phone call to make. Another job that could easily turn into “I’ll just get this done first.”

Building Box Seat Finance has taken plenty of long days, late nights and weekends — and I wouldn’t change it. But the whole point of working for yourself is also having the freedom to make time for the people who are there supporting you through it all.

Was great to switch off for a night, put the laptop away and attend an awards evening with my wife, Jodie. 🥂

She puts up with the phone constantly ringing, the late-night emails, me talking about home loans far more than any normal person should, and everything else that comes with running a business. 😂

A good reminder that success isn’t just about how busy you are or how much business you write.

Sometimes you’ve got to enjoy the ride as well.

Work hard. Make time for your people. Enjoy the good nights.

Now lets get back to making home loans great again 🇦🇺🏠

If you are selling and buying in the same market this is irrelevant. Less real estate commission on the sale and less stamp duty on the purchase. "Plummetting" is certainly an interesting use of words as well. Propaganda at its best 😅
